This year’s Everyone’s Children Back-to-School Backpack Drive showed just how much can happen when a community comes together.

Motivated Mommies was proud to partner with Everyone’s Children, Curve Orthodontics and Shore to Please Designs/Shore Connect to support local children and families as they headed back to school. With the help of more than 60 local businesses, community members and volunteers, this became the largest backpack drive Everyone’s Children has seen in more than 30 years.

​

Together, our community raised thousands of dollars and collected enough supplies to provide more than 280 children with backpacks filled with the essentials they needed to start the school year feeling prepared and supported.

The initiative culminated in a community packing event at the Linwood Library Resource Center, where local families, children, businesses and volunteers came together to pack and prepare the backpacks for distribution.

A special thank you to Melissa McAlarnen of Shore to Please Designs/Shore Connect for donating her time and talents to personalize pencil cases featuring the participating businesses, and to local artist Megan Keller for bringing her creativity to our community donation bins. We are also incredibly grateful to Paint Happy, Twist, Island Therapy and Creative Learning for serving as collection locations, along with every business and individual who donated, volunteered or helped spread the word.

For Motivated Mommies, this initiative was about more than filling backpacks. It was about connecting local businesses, families and organizations around a shared purpose and showing what our South Jersey community can accomplish together.
